TTPC Wishes You a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving
As we move into the annual Thanksgiving Weekend, we want to wish all of you the best. Many of you will be spending this holiday weekend with your families who may be supportive of you. Unfortunately, many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people do not have supportive families. That is why the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition is committed to educating people about the nature of sexual orientation and gender identity and the need for protection in employment, hate crimes, and family relationships.
Be sure to join us at the semi-annual Statewide Membership Meeting, Friday, January 30, 2009, 7pm, in Nashville, as we discuss issues and strategy for 2009.
We also encourage all to set aside Tuesday, February 17, 2009, to join LGBT people and supporters from across the state in Nashville to meet with state legislators at the Tennessee Equality Project's 5th Annual Advancing Equality Day on the Hill.
Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.
