TTPC President on TransFM Today
This evening, Dr. Marisa Richmond, President of the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition, will appear live on TransFM, an Internet Radio program hosted by Ethan St. Pierre.
They will be discussing the rash of anti-transgender violence Memphis, the relationship between violence and lack of employment among the transgender population, as well as Dr. Richmond’s experience as a delegate at this summer’s Democratic National Convention in Denver.

We will elect officers, and plan strategy for 2009, including equal rights ordinances in Memphis and Nashville, statewide legislation affecting LGBT people, and for federal legislation including a fully inclusive ENDA and Hate Crimes legislation.
Tuesday, February 17, Nashville– Tennessee Equality Project’s 5th Annual Advancing Equality Day on the Hill. Join LGBT people and supporters from across the state in as we meet with state legislators and discuss issues of importance such as Hate Crimes, Birth Certificates, Adoption Rights, Civil Unions, Education, and Voting Rights. We will convene at 8:30 a.m., at the Rymer Gallery, located at233 Fifth Avenue North.
