This week, members of the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition will participate in the Southern Comfort Conference (SCC) in Atlanta, the largest annual gathering of transgender people in the country. Southern Comfort begins today, Tuesday, September 22, and runs through Saturday, September 26. Several members of TTPC also have official roles during SCC:

Action is about to begin on the fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), H.R.3017, which would protect LGBT employees from workplace discrimination. The bill, which enjoys bi-partisan support in Congress, would add sexual orientation and gender identity or expression to existing federal employment non-discrimination laws.
