TTPC President Named Memphis Grand Marshal
We are please to announce that Dr. Marisa Richmond, President of the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition (TTPC) has been named one of the Grand Marshals for the 2011 Mid-South Pride in Memphis.
Dr. Richmond will be joining Lisa Kurts-Crume and Deb Word in receiving this honor. Previously, she has been honored by Knoxville PrideFest, Baltimore Black Pride, and Nashville Black Pride.
This year’s Mid South Pride will take place for the first time in Downtown Memphis in Robert Church Park on Historic Beale Street.
The festival will take place on Saturday, October 15, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm CDT.
We hope everyone in Memphis and West Tennessee will come out and join us in this celebration of culture and diversity.
