TTPC Wishes you a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving
As we move into the annual Thanksgiving Weekend, we want to wish all of you the best. Many of you will be spending this holiday weekend with your families who may be supportive of you. Unfortunately, many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people do not have supportive families. That is why the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition is committed to educating people about the nature of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, and the need for protection in employment, hate crimes, educational institutions, and in recognition of our family relationships.
Earlier this year, the National Center for Transgender Equality and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force issued the most comprehensive survey showing pervasive discrimination around the country against transgender people.

The Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition (TTPC) urges everyone to share these links with all of your friends, local policy makers, and elected officials and at the Federal, State, and Local levels, as well as with all of your contacts and friends. We need to make everyone more aware of the extent of anti-transgender discrimination and the need to end it.
Together, we can make it possible for all transgender, as well as lesbian, gay, and bisexual people, to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their own families and friends.
